Ok...  another web site that no one will ever see.....  a collection of my bikes, mostly.  Those that I have now, those that I've had in the past,  and bikes that just torque my trolly.

IMG_20250417_012053526[1].jpg

Contrary to the decals on this POS, it is NOT a Specialized...

It's a cheapo fixed created from a single speed Motobecance from an online bicycle dealer.  I do have this in my posession at this point in time.

IMG_20240819_163133536[1].jpg

THIS is how it started out... really need to toss out the white wall tires, but they're puncture proof, so they win alot of points for that.

IMG_20250417_015641927[1].jpg

State Bicycles....  I don't have alot of great things to say about this one, but don't have many bad things to say either.  I bought this when I didn't even know if my rebuilt leg was going to tolerate me riding it. Yes, this too is in my hands.

deber.jpg

A DeBernardi fixed gear.... Bought it as a Campy equipted road bike,  with the intention right from the beginning to change it to a fixed...  Not a bad bike at all, just doesn't get ridden alot... My fault.  I need to figure out what bar tape I used on the POS Fixed above, the tape I just put on this thing has ALOT to be desired.

M1A.jpg

Merckx MX-Leader... They're as good as people say they are.  If pros were still riding steel, THIS is what they'd be riding.  Good doesn't do this bike justice... Great would be more accurate.  Unfortunately, thanks to a real low life landlord, don't have this bike anymore...  No idea what she did with it.

8000 white bar tape.jpg

Yes, it was a mtb.... with drop bars, 32mm tires, and a 1x drive train.  Was a great road trainer, and would love to have it back.  Another that the landlord got hold of.

This is how the bike above was dressed for awhile...  It had become a 1x, but with straight bars, and just a single brake...  I really wanted it to have the dirt drops, ergo, one can see the difference. This is an example of what you can find, for next to 'no dollars' at your local Co-op bike shop.

serotta.webp

Serotta Colorado... Very nice steel framed bike...  Had the squirely handling manners of a DeRosa....  Which is a big plus.  Landlord got this one too.

track bike_edited.jpg

Cheapo track bike... This also had Motobecane logos on it, unfortunately.

10492.webp

A Trek.....  honestly, it was a Trek... A very early Trek, that was changed over more often than Trumps lies...  In this pic, it was a fixed 'go fer' bike.  Don't miss this bike, at all.

14650131_749156115222527_698155477541323.jpg

A Basso.... it was an Ebay find, and it was quite a nice build, until the right rear dropout snapped off up above Stanford, leaving me a bit stranded.

DeRosa_Full_JPG.jpg

A mid 70's DeRosa.... An absolute, must ride pro bike.  Ride it like a pro bike, or it will spit you off.  THIS bike, by what the poster stated, and what I remember are two different things.  I recognize the wall, the ground, and the bike.  I had this bike as a loner  (THIS bike),  and yeah, it was a DeRosa, so it was just as good as one would expect.

speed_004.jpg

This was not one of my bikes.  I had the same thing, but it was chrome. An absolutely fantastic track bike, but a track bike for road use... No.  These would rattle you into bits. Stiff beyond belief, and extremely quick, but just not a track bike for road use.

1978-82-Benotto-Modelo-3000.avif

A Benotto...  Almost bought one of these as the same time as I bought my first DeRosa (to order), but didn't happen until many years later.  This is another example of a bike that I no longer own.

specialized-stumpjumper-comp-28051_1.webp

A late 80's StumpJumper.... These were sweet mtb's.  Not to the standard of what the Marin guys were riding, but nice none the less.  I had one with this paint job, but the guards where I worked wanted it more, and stole it while I had it parked at work. Thank you Varian security.

eddymerckxhourrecordbike.webp

No one can say for certain if this is REALLY Merckx's hour bike, but if it's not, it's one of the bikes made for the effort.  This bike is in the Brusells Subway station.  It is a Colnago, of this there's no debate.

And a few motorcycles

There are no pictures of the motorcycles I actually owned, and only two example of those that I did have.

maxresdesdfault.webp

1981 Honda CB 750...  This is an example of the last motorcycle I ever owned. Very nice bike, if you don't over build it, which I unfortunately did, and made it unstreetable ( so it became almost a stritctly 'track only' bike. This is almost a dead on replica of what I had. It was also the bike that spit me off at 100+ mph on Willow Springs Racetrack.

tumblr_maq4mkPAJi1rhsldqo1_1280.avif

A motorcycle that I couldn't even imagine trying to ride.  Kenny Roberts said it was more than a handful, which means, for anyone else, it's going to be too much.

1977-Yamaha-RD400-Vintage-Cafe-Racer7607.avif

A Yamaha RD-400...  This is an example of the first motorcycle I ever had. Have to admit, I never knew how to get a 2 stroke to do what they could do  (i.e., rev them to the moon, and they would give you a ride).  I really don't remember if mine had these graphics on it, but during the life of the early 400s, they only changed them once.

So wanted one of these...  Honda CB1100F, from the early 80's.  One of the things that did these in,  shortly after these came out, the Interceptor was introduced.

The Yamaha FZ-750, with the Genesis engine.  I'd become a Honda guy by the time these came out, but these still tickled my brain.

1979 Honda CBX right front 2_JPG.webp

Hondas  CBX.... The bizarre part is these didn't sell when they were new.  Now, expect to give up internal organs to get your hands on one of these.

v12-powered-honda-cb-11_800x0.avif

This was a runner, designed and built by the guy sitting on it.  Two banks of cylinders from CBX engines (so a V 12).  Would love to hear it running (other than on a Youtube video).  This guy was actually on the podium at the  Isle of Mann TT,  so he was GOOD.

42292328_2284088914954106_89995393910219.avif

A Honda GP bike, of some category. This would be another bike that I wouldn't even try to ride.

42269552_2284088988287432_74114777716516.webp

An oval pistoned engine..... Yup.  Not many sold (Honda NR I believe).  A real 'holy grail' of motorcycle engines.

844a7e1c0811f6b27b9a305e96dca8c8.webp

Technically it's a motorcycle...  Three engines, and a mad man in the saddle... Russ Collins.  Have never seen this in person, but THEY say they're rebuilding this thing to put on display at bike shows.

59936746_2395549410673616_41935279552441.avif

Joey Dunlop... The greatest of motorcycle racers (the Dunlop v. Roberts debate not withstanding).  Something about Irish road racers.... They're just plain good. Joey was the best.
